Some History about the building: The Ballroom is of social and historical significance to the area, as its development and use mirrors the social development of the precinct. The building started as large brick Bicycle School and Roller Skating Rink in 1900, in the 1920's the building was converted into the Adelphi cinema, and in more recent times has operated as a ballroom.
